Food For Thought

February 23, 2010

Emergencies don't make appointments, and no one is exluded!  When a can of worms suddenly lands in your lap, you're on center-stage, bud, ready or not!

Let me reiterate:

(1) Be prepared! We can't specifically prepare for all conceivable emergencies, but we can make reasonable preperations for the most likely.  That is why the prudent amung us have guns, fire extinguishers, trauma kits, etc.

(2) Have a plan, but don't fall in love with your plan.  Be flexible, as parts of your plan will inevitably fail.

(3) Expect equipment misfunction.  Have sufficient redundancy on had so you can work around equipment issues.  No matter how elaborate or well-maintained, all machines have the irritating habit of breaking at inconvenient times!

(4) Don't relax to soon.  Don't relax at all!  Keep your head up, and in the game.

(5) Find a way to win!  Keep thinking ahead.  Have alternatives always in your mind.

Operators can't be oblivious to dangers inherent to this indifferent planet.  Lives (maybe yours!) depend upon your preparedness and ability to act quickly, decisively, and correctly.

It has become all to apparent to me in the last year that most gun stores and shooting schools in Colorado only care that you buy things and not shoot up their range, otherwise why would they promote such over unrealistic and ridiculous gun handling?  We only teach what is 100% safe for the shooter and 100% lethal for the bad guy.... anything else is just wasted brain cycles.

March 6th Tactical Shotgun class moved to March 27th.

February 20, 2010

My son will be graduating from Army Ranger Selection on the weekend of March 6th so I am moving the Shotgun class to march 27th.   Please make sure you schedule early for this class as I will cancel it if we do not have 6 of more participants or if students wait until the week prior to schedule for the class.

The Tactical Shotgun class is always a huge amount of fun with a very versatile weapon and is cheaper than other all day special weapon classes we offer.  Dont miss out as we only offer this class twice a year.

Remember any who purchased a tactical shotgun from us in 2010 can get $100.00 off their first shotgun class if taken in 2010.  We sold alot of Tactical Shotguns in February so get you guys and gals up to speed on this badboy!  :)
